The Town closed the park on August 25, 2020, with Parks Manager David Coleman explaining that "the well has run its course and it will not be possible to service the park without water." The park reopened on August 31, 2020 in a "dry" mode, with portable toilets installed and visitors asked to bring their own drinking water. The park was initially set to close every Wednesday for manual tree irrigation, maintenance, and repair.
The Town's current park information indicates full restroom facilities are available, suggesting the water issue has been resolved.
