Apple Valley, San Bernardino County
Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, the singing cowboy stars of film and television, moved to Apple Valley in 1965 and lived there for the rest of their lives. They opened their first museum in town in 1967, and both are buried at a local memorial park. Highway 18 through Apple Valley carries the name Happy Trails Highway in their honor.
